Just rebuilding my engine into a rapido 235 ( Harry barlow tuned with "some" jap piston - he has told me can't remember ! ) Ron Moss pipe / reedvalve, li150 box - my question is around the front and rear sprockets and chain?
I'm fitting 46 / 16 with a slack chain to start, does anyone have any other recommendations for the same or similar set up?

My Rapido 225 fettled by Ron Moss - dely 30 & MB Clubman LI 150 gearbox, had a few different front rear sprocket combinations,at present 47X16 giving 4.99 with a 81 link chain, also at one stage 46X16 with a 81 link chain and push down tensioner giving 4.89, also 46X15 with a 80 link chain giving 5.21.Found the one I'm happiest with , for me personally is the 47X16, suits my style of riding pulls easily in all the gears, scoot loaded up etc
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order.

Cheers for that, so I'm thinking 16 tooth probably correct, but with 46 or 47....? I'm not into continuously taking scooters apart so just trying to decide on the ratio that I can stick with for a long time
