You can apply to the DVLA for a vehicle history search. This should return any docs they still have on file and you might get some old registration papers back.
You have to have 'reasonable cause' to request information and if the vehicle is registered in your name you can use form V888
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -a-vehicle
When I did mine I just put ’for restoration purposes trying to trace original colour scheme'

depends if it was a UK bike at the time and if there are any initial registration details on file.
Has it been totally repainted over the years?
Have a look under the air scoop- is there any original paint there or in any other "covered" place?- that will give you a guide as to what it was originally.
My monies on "Duck egg Blue" anyway

Dvla (if its registered) will only give a general colour (white blue red etc) IF you cod get hold of the factory records (they no longer exist I believe) they MIGHT have given u the info. If its an li125 s3 it's probably duck egg blue
