Will an Avanti 225 fit in a series 2 with out cutting the floor because of its head being bigger ?

Yes, have Avanti head and cowling on a S1 (albeit not Avant kit just head and cowl)

^ as above. My mate has one in his with no major issues. I think he had problems with rear runners and the Franspeed exhaust but no problem with the cylinder and head.
