I'm fitting new SB with 2 holes, Sticky's says flywheel side holes at 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock and the kickstart side holes at 10 o'clock and 1 o'clock, this doesn't seem right to me, there's no balance to it, plus one is a 2 hour gap and the other 3?? The 3 hole ones seem to have all the holes in the same place on both sides, ie one hole at the bottom and the other 2 facing forwards.
8 o'clock and 10 o'clock plus 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock would make more sense to me. Anyone got any other views?

i think that's got to be a bit of a typo since the spacing isn't there to achieve 10 and 1.

i've always done 8/10 and 11/1

All the new SIL engines I've had recently have them at 2 and 4 o'clock on the driveside and 8 and 10 o'clock on the mag side.
