SIP Speedo on Automatic Lambretta..rev counter problem

Hello!

I would like to use a SIP Speedo on my Auto Lambretta (Piaggio Hexagon engine) but I´m not sure where to get the pulse for the rev counter.

Should I connect the brown speedo wire (for the rev counter) to one of the yellow cables from the generator (before the rectifier) or should I use the green (engine off) wire from the generator (a friend of mine told me that it might be possible to get some unregulated power from this green / engine off wire. But I´m not sure about that.)

So is there somebody out there who already fitted a SIP speedo with working rev counter on a Lambretta with a Piaggio engine fitted and can help me getting that problem solved?!?!

Thanks a lot and kind regards,

Not sure with a vespa but on Lambretta it would a yellow wire from the generator. I found the fitting instruction very misleading on this connection I put it down to 'lost in translation'.
