Series 2 API leg shields

I have a pair which are so thin they vibrate which causes my vision to go blurry at about 25 mph, fortunately I can accelerate through it... 
anyway they have been welded up poorly in the past and although it's a ratty rat they need replacing.
Questions i have if some kind souls would be so good, are.
Are all API leg shields uber thin?
Will any series 2 leg shields fit an API frame?
What would you expect to pay for a set of tatty but straight API leggies?
