I know there are differences between S2 and S3 fork links, but what (if any) differences/problems etc would I have if I put a set in a SX? doesn't the S2 links sit lower? cheers Paul

Sorry Paul unable to answer that, I've not come across an issue with any links I've put in, as long as correct rods/ balls are used and they match. Why? are you building bare forks up? If any problems, I've got some spare. TV ones for disc brake where the locating stud position is, was in a different place. For dampers or not? I'm sure the more knowledgeable will be straight on. Simon.

The wheel will sit about 1/2" higher with series 1/2 links than when using series 3 links, apart from that as long as the links are a matched pair you won't have any problems.

You'll need to file another slot for the pinch bolt.

I don't think so - the bolt goes in from the side on a Series 2 from the front for series 3.

As already said it will lift the front by 8mm I use s2 ones on my GP with oitboard conversion it also gives more travel on the link
s2, s have a longer shocker to lift the back up ,you might not be able to adjust your headlight low enough or you might have to use a longer screw to do so
s2 links with the original unworn brass bush are by far the best links to use very strong and are able to be routinely greassed without being stripped down
