Mate of mine came in work and said that whilst out walking his dog he found a Lambretta engine in a hedge,
 thought I.
He gave me a simple drawing af said engine and it looked like a 3 year olds drawing, but I could see the likeness.
So I, the wife and boy went in search with a simple map, and over hill and down hill, we walked about a mile and a bit, found the tree's he described and guess what ............
We found the said item

Worse than I had hoped for, I was hoping for a sealed engine with a good gearbox at the least :(

But it is what it is, SX150, good crank case, good fly cowl and not a lot else.

Worst bit was carrying it back the mile and a bit, as after I had walked that far, I couldn't leave it there

If you'd done that you could have stayed looking for the rest of it ;)

Boy had his hands full, Ipod and phone :D

I had a good look for the rest of it, other than a really rusted head cowl, nothing in site.
