Indicators one side and not the other when in 4th??

No here's a good one. Rode to work this morning on my Ser.80 Serveta (battery, indicators, 6v) and when in 4th gear indicating left, no probs, when indicating right, no indicators unless I tweaked the gearshift back slightly.
I reckon that by adjusting the newly fitted cables (which have loosed up since) it would help as it's only when in 4th the gear shift is at its furthest part of travel as far as the gearselector handlebar is concerned. Hope this makes sense.
It's possible that the indicator wire for the side (right hand) is maybe being crushing inside the headset when in 4th gear, which is stopping power to the bulbs (or lamps rather)
Any help by you elec gurus would be appreciated.
Cheers all
