Legshields

Gentlemen

Quick couple of questions for you.

I've a set of old unknown legshields, there are I hope going to go on my SX200.
I have the frame sitting ready for blasting and the leggies fit and everything lines up nicely.

Now these have no badge holes on the left hand side however have 8 holes on the right hand side
3 offset above each othere 2 in the centre and 3 offset above each other again.
This is looking at the scoot from the front, so clutch is on the right.

What I'm hoping is that I'll be able to keep 4 of the holes for the Lambretta badge and weld up the other 4.
I don't have a badge on hand at the moment and will have to order one.

I have a feeling the legshields are off a Jet200 if so anybody any idea if the any of the holes will line up with the Lambretta legshield badge
off an SX200.

I could just weld up all 8 holes and start from scratch.

As for the welding what do you guys use? I need to fix two bolt holes and the badge holes.
I've never tride to fix anything so thin, I've Map Gas, Oxy-Acetylene, and a stick welder.
The stick welder is out, what type of rod would I use to braze up the badge holes and fix the split in the bolt holes with Oxy-Acetylene or MAP gas.

Thanks

I use silver solder brazing rod with a small blowtorch.

Silver solder sounds good, brazing with a torch creates too much heat and distortion
