Someone must have seen this before and solved the problem

I'm really hoping one of you cleaver lot have a solution to my problem.
The problem is this:
I lost my carb float pin
I bought a replacement from SR
My old float pin used to stick out further
The replacement cant be removed
I need to replace the float
I dont want to cut the existing float off as these are not remade
I dont want to buy a new carb - just in case you think SH1/20 carbs are sh*t
The pin is not magnetic
There is no hole on the far side to push it out
SR say that these are the only size they have and no one else has been saying they are too short, which leads me to think there must be a way to remove it as sh1/20 carbs number in the 1000's
Any suggestions?

It took me a while to understand but now I realise. The pin went in OK and was fine UNTIL you need to remove it at some point.
Options.
1. Tap it from other end and try to shock it out sufficiently to get a grip on it.
2. Stanley knife down edge and try to drag it a little.
3. Smaller pilot hole at undrilled end to enable a minature drift to be pushed against the pin.
Seems such a silly problem but bloody annoying.

if you need to cut the float off, send me a SAE and I'll put one in the post

Why do you need to replace that float? If something is wrong with it why not cut it?

Try to pick it out with a pin.

Damn right it is. I've tried shocking it out, hence the marks on the other side. I do like the pilot hole idea> I may try that!

Thanks Chris. That's very kind. Hopefully it wont go to come to that but I will if it does
