Vespa PX200 gear cog order help

I found this a while ago -
I will try to explain – 4th gear, the smallest – on the inner middle section, one side is flat, the other side has a raised edge. The higher raised edge points toward the flywheel side of the engine, the same for 3rd and 2nd.
First gear is similar to fourth but the flatter section would point to the flywheel side. There should be gaps of between 1 - 2.5mm approx.in between each gear on the outer edges where the teeth are.

After 2hrs searching garage, is there a spacer washer between selector rod and cruciform? Or was that just on earlier px's

I had a spacer on the Super... none on the '83 P motor.
