Crankcase damage

Just stripped the brother-in-laws motor after he broke down. thought that he had dropped a ring peg or something like that. On stripping found that his small end bearing had failed damaging barrel and crankcase. the barrel is going of to Langcourts but my question is will the damage to the crankcase need repairing or can it be lightly filed and wet and dry. Any advice would be great see photos below.
Cheers Paul

I would not fill that, a bit of wet /dry check for hairline crack, its a bit thin their, should be good to go,

^... agree. Check to make sure that there are no cracks going through to other side. If not, simply dress it and use as is.

Agree with Shocky.although I`m not too sure about what I`ve heard about Langcourts I`ve used them with no problem, but I had my last barrel done by Aptec, a little bit more expensive but I think better.

Many thanks for the advice much appreciated. I have used Langcourts a few times and have never had a problem with them. I will stick some pictures of the barrel and comment on quality of work when it comes back, £150 for repair and replate I don't know how that compares with others?
