Have now got scoot nearly ready but have had some issues with the offset cones moving and this has made the engine and rear wheel a bit of a bugger to get dead plumb its nearly there but not quite. suspect i will have to take the cones out agin and open them up with a scredriver so they dont move when putting the rod back in...any body else have this problem?

Also and this worried me when i looked down at the front wheel from the riding position (with the leggies off) that the wheel is canted to the left, you can see the wheel from the left but not the right. its as though the whole wheel is out of line? Is this usual or have i got bent forks/frame.

The whole scoot sits slightly to the right and it has a new stand so im a tad worried that all these issues may mean the actual frame is twisted. Im not anal so im not looking for 1000% but i do need to know if this is within standard lambretta tolerances so to speak or if it needs sorting.

Looks to me that you need to line up your handlebars to the wheel, or am I missing something

i think the scootrs disc assembly puts the wheel other one side, mine did and seen plenty of others that are the same.

yes thye handlebar is slightly to one side, moved as i took the pic. but the problem is still there when straight.
The kit is a scootrs, well spotted. is this acommon though and could it be sorted by adding spacers?

I did a ScootRS front brake for a mate recently, the wheel was offset and angled wrong. I put the old one back on and it was also out, but not as bad. Changed the trailing links and all was ok.

I had to add spacers to center a PM Tuning disk brake assembly. It came with them and noted the possible necessity in a note. I imagine the same will be needed for most brands of brakes, depending on your forks and links.

yeah, i had to fit a spacer on the left to my scootrs front disc hub to get it in the middle.
and your handlebars do need straightening up in line with the forks
just show a pic of your lower damper brackets, they look a bit strange ? could just be the angle that the photo was taken.

Those cones will always move and throw your back end out of line. I drilled and tapped 3mm holes through the frame and cone. That way you can stop them rotating with a small screw.

Yeah the handlebars are slightly out so will have to sort that. Even so I reckon that they are canted by about 5 -10 mm. Perfectly straight but still canted. Im not sure i can get any spacers on the left hand side or any side for that matter as there is no space at all otherwise i would have wacked a couple of washers on.
Thanks for the link, thought that might be the answer but im pretty sure my links are straight.
Am i right in saying that the lasered cut ones from Pm are thinner thus giving you eneogh room to push the whole lot back to centre and then add the washers to take up the slack.

Also there is a shoulder on the right hand thread so i cant push it through to the left to give me more space on the side i need.
