FITTING BATTERY TO TOOL BOX, SERIES 3

I'm thinking of going DC with my Li 150 Special, mainly to get a DC supply for a sat/nav phone charger and for DC 12v horn.
I plan to fit a gel type 12v battery (like in factory alarm systems) inside the original underseat tool box.
How should it be installed, what can i use to secure the battery in place?

Any helpful advice would be appreciated. :)

Thanks guys, something for me to look into.

Having thoughts of fitting a pair of air horns and compressor via relay etc just to scare the bejesus out of anyone who earns a toot on the hooter!

Cheers

Rather than fill up the existing toolbox I fitted one that fits near the back wheel and put the battery in there.

Only works if you don't have an airbox obviously but here's a few photos.

Basically, the side of the vespa px tray is dremelled off to allow change of battery or top up as required, not that either have ever been needed in the last few years. Fitted to the back of the airbox with 4 nuts and bolts with a seat fibre washer between the tray and toolbox and hey presto.

Of course!
I have a TS1 but there is room for a shallow gel type alarm battery.
Why didn't I think of that, thanks for the tip!

And you'll easily get a shallow alarm type in there, the one i use is a full size vespa one.
