Perhaps not the greatest philosophical question of all time, but I would still like to know if you use wavy or flat washers on your Lambretta wheel rims? Or both? Took an old rim apart today and they were definitely wavy ones. But what do you use for your domed nuts? Can't seem to find a conclusive answer to that.

Wavy is correct for stock on both dome and open nuts.

If you are looking for the way Innocenti did it, I'm not sure, but 'Grumpy225' may be.
If you are looking for a modern solution? I suggest Nylock nuts on flat washers to hold the rim halves together. With dome nuts over spring washers holding the rim to the hub. Preferably all in stainless steel.
Not for the purists, but much better.
Wavy washers are weak in performance compared to spring washers.

Warning

Some people on here seem to have had problems with dome nuts hitting the thread top and not tightening down. I have never had that issue in fifteen years of scooter restoring. But I do buy good quality s/s dome nuts.

Well, there is that. I'm a bit reluctant to rip the studs out of an original disc brake though.

Just unscrew them Nev - then you can stick them back in again if you get bored with not having blow-outs.
