Mate of mine had a new exhaust (unknown origin, see piccies below) fitted a few months ago but hasnt rejetted. He says it flies, I kept saying they all do 'til they go pop!

Of course that only means he's finally thought he'd give it to me to jet! Should've kept me gob shut :D :D mind you, he is a good mate and I don't want to be on a run with him broken down and thinking I could have prevented that.

Anyway, it's an imola 186, 30 PHBH open mouth, and as I say unknown expansion chamber, similar to JL3 but no rear support and a one piece ubend unlike the JL's which have a seperate stub and ubend. So if anyone can identify the exhaust I'd be grateful.

Other than that I've never jetted an imola so am unfamiliar with the rough jetting though found the following on the Bristol lambretta site which was handy and close to whats in it.

ie. Lambretta Imola 185 with Dellorto 30mm PHBH and Imola snail
Atomiser AS266/Needle X2 /Main 135 +/Pilot 55 - 60/Slide 40

Now, the scooter in front of me as Atomiser AS266, Needle X2, Pilot of 55, choke 70, Slide 40 so pretty much as it says, however the main's only a 115! So ill be upping that for a start!!

Cheers for the link Dave, already got that one tucked away, I was just a bit surprised never having jetted an imola or TS that it'd be running this type of jetting, in particular I knew the main HAD to be too low for a revvy machine but was a little surprised to see an AS atomiser rather than an AV, but after much googling it would appear common. Just seems odd.

Where?

Asside that the exhaust looks like one of those Naff/Taff copies.

The banjo filter looks like the aftermath of previously petsealed tank prior to ethanol that has suffered the consequences+

Re seal the tank, clean or replace the carb (work out the finances) eg. http://beedspeed.com/carburettor-dellor ... -1200.html

Up the main jet to 130+

Its what i would do at any reight arr tis as I wood unist geyza so tiz.

My imola settings are as follows. 40 slide, x13 needle on the top clip, AV264, 138 main jet, 50 pilot and the powerjet out 3/4 of a turn.
Ive got a 30 mil delly with an augusto 7000 and a Dev Tour Pipe. This setup works fine for my scooter and havent had any problems. That will now be the bloody kiss of death me saying that

Yep have looked at the carb set up section already to see if there are similar setups, just to be clear I've no problem doing the jetting I know how to do that, I was just surprised at the low main and the leaner atomiser.

Aint no leaks on it, double checked the base and the head already, there's no petseal in the tank, never has been, the crud was mainly fluff and normal tank crap if you see what i mean. I've already stripped and rebuilt the carb and popped a 135 main in there for now, going out this morning to go through all the jetting on the road and be sure it's all ok.

On the exhaust, yeah pretty sure it's a generic copy of a JL / Taffy of some sort.
