Cutdown

Ive just got the logbook in my name and sorned my PX which i have cutdown the back end and legshields slightly.I need to send the log book back again as ive changed the colour (matt black 
).Do i need to register it as a cutdown on the logbook as well and do you notify the insurance that its been cut too?
