thumbing through latest GQ mag (just for summat to do) and there was a piece about some flash toff who swears by his Vespa for getting around London. Says it cost £13,650 from Retrospective scooters. Bit steep.

There was also an ad for clothing with a guy riding what looked to be a modern slant on a Lammie.

They did have a VS1, so maybe he bought it. Just checked its still up for sale, they did sell a TV series 1 for £13k

I hope he sells it on cheap once he's been caught in the rain once too often or if its a TV1 the clutch goes, back wheel falls off etc etc etc

Retrospective only do Vespas as a rule.

This one is £13K. Very lovely but too rich for my wallet.

He can afford it as he's head of menswear at Harrods and it was £ 13,950. And whilst searching for the article again I came across this old Daks advert. And the photo below is their latest advert.

14k for a Vespa? Presumably it's got one of those CNC 305cc engines in it...?

Thats a steal compared to the one on 'another forum' a couple of years back that was up for 40 grand...
