Fitting Li ramp - need to remove end plate or not?

The saga of the kickstart engaging continues and I have decided to have a go at fitting an Li ramp whilst the side casing is off. I know what I have to do and am wondering if it is possible to cut off the ramp of the end plate with it in situ. Maybe with a cutting disk on my dremel? Any thoughts???

All those filings in your gearbox and clutch,
I wouldn't advise it.
Remove, cut, smooth and reshim gearbox.

Yeah, I thought about that! Haven't removed one before, a bit nervous tbh, especially as engine has recently been built.

No, take the clutch off, loosen and remove the nuts and use two m6 bolts or t bars to jack it off

I have removed the clutch plates before to replace one of the clutch centre bearings, so there's not much more to do to take the end plate off then?

I did my first one a couple of months ago. Not difficult, just took my time and read sticky', haynes and the lcgb guide '
To be honest I spent more time reading than building my gearbox but it was worth it.
Don't be shy, get into it.

The ramp tends to stick to the xmas tree when you draw it up with the T bar extractors stopping it from breaking free so tap the xmas tree gently with copper mallet to disengage it.

If it does stick you can also give it a tap on the rectangular lump on the end plate in front of the bearing
