Has anyone had experience of these electronic kits?
Can't work out if they are a veriatonic, advance and retard.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated

They are sold by Scooter Restorations. Take a look for yourself.

Looks like they use the very same electrical components (stator, cdi, reg made by "idm") used by varitronic, vespatronic and others. So look at varitronic specs for advance/retard and power output characteristics.

Is the variotronic advance/ retard variability built into the stator or the CDI ?
That kit looks like it has the same stator but a simple coil.

They work exactly the same as the varitronic.

I just fitted one . Was recommended from Dean Orton from RLC.Very simple and tidy to fit and works prefectly. i got the simplified wiring loom from Casa as well. The latest version includes a lightened flywheel (2kg) and a junction box original-style. it's a variable ignition like the others. If you don't have a battery you have to isolate the red/white cable coming from the stator.
