put it all back together with new plug e.t.c and it wont even fire ..there loads and loads of compression ..big blue spark yet nothing could it be carb trouble or electrics cheers

try a spray of brake cleaner in the spark hole and see if it starts. If not check ignition...

the plug is as dry as a bone so to me that's a fuel problem isn't it

Sounds like it, try the above test, see if it runs and it may well clear itself and drag its own fuel through.
Worst case, if it fires on the brake cleaner and dies again, at least you know it is fuel.
