I was toying with the idea of long stroking /long rodding my Malossi T5, but the options of the off set big end pin (which I don't like the sound of )or the £400 quid longstroke crank, (haddaway and shite at that price) plus there being little info on whose done it in the past (like you've found out) to tell the truth , it runs really well as is, and I'm loath to tear it apart and spend loadsa money on it. I was gonna put a 110 rod in it as well , to make a T5 200-ish. best Vespa engine ya T5.

There's a great headache-inducing thread on long conrods (among other things) here - http://www.scootercentral.net/forums/vi ... hp?t=15818
Makes me very keen to do one, the results sound worth the effort.

I run a 120 Rotax rod in my TS1, although it has an 18mm gudgeon pin so may not be to your requirements.

Geoff, Tony Obrien, (remember him), was going on about doing a long stroke T5 ages ago. Try and track him down.

Its for my T5 that im asking the question for ! Iv just had a polini kit rebored to 65mm with a polaris sl 650 piston "Wiseco".
Both of which I got for vertualy nothing . Im going to use a P2 crank . I want to put a longer rod on to reduce sideways stress on the crank
thus reducing vibration . My piston has a 18mm pin. Im not sure yet weather to go 57mm or 60 mm . What do you think OZ ?

I'd go 60, wish I had with the TS.
P2 crank is 10mm narrower than T5 so you will have to make a longer pin.
