I read the article on the 50th Anniversary S-Type in Decembers issue of Scootering. I thought that in order to qualify as an S-Type the paint had to be same colour on the frame loop as the legshield front and the headset had to be white, it had to have pathfinders a clubman exhaust and whatever else youre having, the one in the magazine was an RB, nk pipe in an 80s street racer livery its impressive and expensively built, but Im confused, can any tuned lambretta be called an S-Type?

They don't even have to be Lambrettas, do they?

Aren't they making S types out of the Indian replica SIL machines?

The only true "S" types were those built by Arthur Francis in the 1960's- now very rare indeed.

All other modern reincarnations are replicas IMO

as long as it comes out of af rayspeed with there brand its a s type.

There's probably more "S-Types" on the road than were actually produced..........

Probably the same goes for SX/TV/GP 200 models,more replicas than the real thing!!

2 Main type of S types.

Arthur Francis S types
and Ray Speed S types

Both equally valid as S types in my book.

I'm waiting for the Scomadi S Type.......
