I know it's been asked before but I can't find the thread so please excuse me.
What size Lambretta does this entitle someone to ride. It is on a full car licence from 1982.

Category A

You can drive:
motorbikes with a power output more than 35kW or a power to weight ratio more than 0.2kW/kg

Have you passed a seperate Bike test? I know your car licence allows you a provisional licence on some 2 wheels (max 125cc with L Plates I think), but many people disregard this and ride larger. Basically without the "correct" bike licence your bike insurance is invalid with all the serious problems this brings.

Is the category A a full license or a provisional. If it's provisional you'll only be able to ride a 125 with L plates
and only after passing a CBT and you used to be able to ride a 50cc without L plates but that may have
changed with the new regulations.
If you have any doubts you'd be better checking rather than risking riding something you may not be entitled
to as they'll not take ignorance as a defence when prosecuting you.

Mine, issued 2013 on the ten year renewal thing, says AM and A.
Dates given for AM and A, the A1 A2 left blank.
As I passed my test in 1965, I can ride any motorised bike. Not sure why they added the moped as of 11-09-13. Never owned or ridden one.
Presumably having the A checked means the same for everyone? ie you're legal for everything. (Two wheel wise).
