Does anyone know of a cheapish timing gun?

Draper do one for £20 but it says not suitable for motorbikes; I can't see a reason why one would work on cars but not bikes, but i don't want to waste £20 just to check.

I'd prefer mains powered but 12v is ok.

Can't imagine ever building a sprinter, so 8000rpm should easily cover it. I could get away with less though.

So Are you saying that any will do?

It's just that I bought a gunsons one off eBay and the light's too dim to be any use. I didn't know if I'd bought the wrong type or it's just knackered.
