Hi all,
currently rebuilding my motor after i really buggered it and once i get somewhere i want to fit my leccy ignition with the readspeed adjustable cdi.
Got one real cheap so thought id give it a go as id always planned to fit a retard box (lol) at some point and as it cost me a fraction more than a ducati cdi i though hey ho.
Whats confused me a little is the thread on here about said cdi..
I know there were problems with the graph, but this didnt have any relation to different versions being released? Im right to assume that all readspeed adjustable cdis are the same? The latest graph makes complete sense, although out of interest how would you discern which of the 3 advance retard settings to use without the use of an egt?

(slightly off topic, could be a thread unto itself:)
And also, would i be right in thinking that one of the benefits of running such a box is you can run a higher compression on the head?

This is a really interesting question, and it is worthy of its own thread.

i think ive got a few questions like this... such as how could you change your port timings to take advantage of such a box? or is this really a separate system? im thinking along the lines of higher ex duration since you can swallow up the loss of torque a little bit...
Im also worrying about cruising speed or changes in ruising speed causing hotter running as you not flat out....
thinking out loud but i do have a lot of questions!
will try nad be concise and start a new thread. anyone interested please comment!
