175 Port Heights

Hi, I found a brand new 175 62mm barrel in the cupboard, but the piston with it was the wrong pin height like a TV would be, but i don't know if the porting on the has been made in the same way.
Does anyone know what the port heights would be on non TV 175 barrel?
Or could i use a GP/LI/SX 175 62mm piston and the port timing be out too much?

Whilst at risk of making a fool of myself, I believe the barrel can be used with either a TV con rod and TV piston, or a Li rod and an Li conversion piston, and the porting should be the same.

The Li 175 conversion piston has a compression height 9mm greater than that found on the TV piston. The TV rod is 9mm longer than the Li rod (same stroke), which evens everything out....

The original TV set-up is considered to be the smoothest fitting to a Lambretta at the factory

He's right you know, might have to adjust slightly with gaskets though :)

+1 to the smoothest set up from the factory.

Why wasn't the longer rod used more extensively on production models?
