no spark
trying to get my newly rebuilt lammy engine going but theres no spark , ive tried 2 different flywheels an af lightened one and a scooters india one, a brand bgm stator and a scoots india one which came of a running bike its also got a brand new bgm red cdi new lead new plug new cap etc etc , its also earthed from the engine to the frame , the rectifier is also . Anybody any ideas of what else to try ?
see if your actually getting a spark from the green stator wire it will be weak then add the cdi leaving off the ign switch green as previously stated
We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm
Its not connected mate
Only seem to be getting a spark from the yellow wire when trying direct onto metal and thats with both stators and flywheels
I've tried 2 different flywheels ?

Is the mag flange in too far/not far enough, is the stator sitting proud/etcwoody wrote:I've tried 2 different flywheels ?
You'll be getting a PM off Muppet shortly, he just PM'd me by mistake
Assuming the outer is the loom one, sometimes they are switched around.Andy W wrote:Try disconnecting the outer green wire on the CDI (from the main loom), this will eliminate the ignition switch as this can cause issues.
