Converting PX Autolube Engine to Pre-mix?...Advice needed

I've just bought a brand new, complete PX210 Malossi engine (ebay bargin) & I'm going to stick in me Rally 200 - but it's an autolube engine with oil pump & I just want to run it on pre-mix - so what's the best solution for disabling the autolube?

Do I just seal the end of the oil feed pipe.... Or do need to remove the oil pump altogether & plug the inlet hole with something?

Cheers...

Take the carb and carb box off, pull the shaft out and replace the box and carb with new gaskets.

Without the dive shaft you won't wear the dry-running pump mechanism out. The gaskets will be enough to make sure the gear oil can't escape but you could also silicone the shaft hole up too if you are paranoid.

i always plug up the oil injection hole in the carb with a lead shot to block it off ...belt and braces approach especially if the pump is left in situ .

Take clutch out and remove small toothed cog that turns the oil shaft :)

And then the clutch sits 3mm closer to the crank, and directly against the main bearing Baz!

I think he means the small cog held on by the small cir clip to the left of the clutch. I use one of these

Try putting a non-injected gasket between carb and box, no need to worry about oil passage way in carb.
