Apart from immersing in hot water prior to fitting, any other tips? Start at the top of the toolbox and finish at the bottom? Use of soap or any such thing?

Well, firstly can I say a very big thank you for the numerous words of encouragement, tips, advice, explanations and good will in my endeavour to install a new toolbox rubber gasket. ;)
Well, got the fecker fitted in the end with only one tear at one corner. My hands are as sore as feck. If I ever do one again (Please Lord, don't let it be soon), I will definitely radius those sharp corners before it goes for spraying. :| ;) :D :)

Yes, John, watched it yesterday. It's UKoldschool from 7 years ago ;) Doesn't even say whether he warmed the rubber in hot water before fitting it either

I always save old original ones and clean them up.
Nice and easy to fit ;)
