Are they unique to taffspeed pipes ? They look pretty generic to me

No I don't think they are unique to Taffspeed, need just to find the right size (diameter and height).

it's the lazy solution I know ...

don't think the yam one will work

the scorpion ones don't come with steel inner sleeve - just bought two for a mates bike
