Alloy kits

Looking at 2 kits for a reed LML casing, the Palmakit 177 or the Quatrini 172. Does anyone have any feedback on the kits , to be used for mad blasts and running a 28PHBH and a Scorpion pipe. Also what gearing would be recommended? Thanks

the Quattrini will be a hoot, obviously just get the one without the reed on the barrel, as the LML casings have a reed on them. I put a parmakit TSV177 on a lads LML , and it was great , very good quality, JL pipe and 26mm carb in the box. I would have to ride both long term to choose between them. gearing wise, the LML has a 21 tooth clutch in as standard , so I would just stay as that on the standard gearbox, maybe go up to a 22 if you feel the need later, easy switch. I would change every bearing in the engine though, and of course the crank. ive repaired three LML"s in the last two weeks (LML dealer round the corner, so they are quite popular round here) all for bearing problems, one a knackered crank, one a shattered small end bearing which fooked the barrel and piston, and one for a buggered flywheel bearing, that came in four pieces instead of the normal 2! I like LML"s, with the reed casing, thicker metal for the chassis, better colours , price etc., .....but the bearings man, they are shite!

You definitely won't be disappointed with the Quattrini....
I've got the m1xl (with reed on barrel) built on px125 casings (welded) - it has a 30mm PHBH carb, up rated the standard reeds to v force 3, 57mm full circle crank, sip jl curly pipe, 22t sip billet clutch & 65t drt primary - all built ported & tuned by Sean Bradey @ Scooterotica.
Just got it all up & running - but not yet been on dyno, so can't tell you what sort of power it's making yet - but it's f@@king fast.... & loud too!

Nice one chaps, the crank has been machined chamfered on the webs and a new rod fitted and pin welded by someone, only trouble is it's 1/2 mil out of true and not balanced at 12 o/clock and if I can't sort it out it looks like a new one. Any recommendations?
