Hi All,

Appreciate if any of you could assist me in setting up Mikuni TM28 carb flatslide.

Currently using Mugello 186 V4/ BGM 58mm crankshaft/ Mikuni TM28/ BGM Big Bore Clubman/ BGM ignition stator plate on my LI 150 series 3.

Having issue on the pilot jet and the main jet. Not using any remote filter at the moment but intend/ wish to use one.

Current setting 160 main/ 30 pilot without filter. :?

Any idea guys on what is the best or perfect setting?

Looking forward to your kind expertise pertaining this issue.

Here in the UK, I've not met or heard of many folk using the TM28. The most popular Mikunis here tend to be TM24 and TMX35.

You may get more response going on the LCUSA site as Mikunis and Keihins seem to be more popular over there. Good luck :)

Have you tried these settings yet?

From my very limited experience with Mikunis my guestemate starting point 'as it is' would be larger main (220 - 180) amaller piloy idle (22.5 - 17.5). The chosen needle will have a bign influence too.

Perhaps ask MB as it is their exhaust, they sell that brand carb and the Mugello is not 'that' much different to an RT195 kit :D

What is the issue?

You sound OK on the pilot and small on the main. What needle, atomizer and slide?

Why not set it up with the filter in place? You'll just have to rejet once you add it.
