I am hoping to fit my EGT sensor to my scoot tomorrow. I am using a jubilee clip bracket temporarily until I can get a friend to do the weld, I am thinking of using a very tiny smear of GunGum sealant around the hole for the probe, just to make sure it is completely sealed. Does anyone think there will be any issue with this??? Thanks in advance

Should be fine, it's the tip of the probe that is the important bit.

Cheers Coaster, the GunGum won't be anywhere near the probe just around the nut that holds it to make sure it's sealed

Has anyone fitted an EGT display unit that hasn't been mounted on an inside legshield toolbox? If so how and are any waterproof?

Uses a chrome instrument pod .... never had a problem with it being waterproof...

Well it came today and i could kick myself. I only ordered one that connects to a battery, I've got a non battery scooter. ARSE!

You can still use it, you just need to use a small 12 volt alarm type battery and keep charging it up. The DC is just to power the device and it only need milliamps so should goo for weeks on a charge so long as the battery is switched off or disconnected when not in use.

That would do fine, you can charge them with a car battery charger
