barn find

Hi all you Vespa lovers. Here's the story; I've always been a Lambretta man and as a result know little about the Vespa family.
However, a barn find has come along and it's a good resto. So i'm going to need help along the way.
I checked the frame number out on 'Scooterhelp' and it appears to be a 150 Super. Frame prefix VBC1T Does anyone know the history of this model? The little i've discovered suggests it should have a round headlight, but this one has the trapezoidal type. Maybe this changed over the years?
Any other notable distiguishing features to help me identify it's age and history?

Any help appreciated ......Daggs.

I had a '74 150 Super. 8 inch wheels and trapezoidal headlamp. I've always thought those were standard for them.

Vespa Super VBC1T 1001-554808 (1966-1979)

Should be the 150cc model. The 125 & 150 models came straight after the GL models so its not a surprise some of them have the trapezoid headlight and not uncommon. It should have 8" wheels.

Good stuff fellers, keep it coming. Definitely 8" wheels. I think it's about a 1977, though it was registered as a1982.

Difficult to be sure at this moment. The engine is not that expected, it's apparently a PX125. The rear wheel fitted is a 10" But the front and two spares are 8"
I have no idea if an original 150 Super engine would be available. If it was? I would contemplate it going back to original. If not it may be cheaper and create a more useable scooter by completing the 10" conversion and retaining the PX engine.
I have litle knowledge of the Vespa range, but i believe i would need different forks for the 10" wheel?

keep the 8" wheels, I like that look.
And change the engine backplate etc to the 8" set up.
