The amazing exploding Lambretta Clutch...

yesterday out for a little ride, sudden loss of clutch, no more drive...
Took of the sidecasing yesterday and the clutch had come apart.
I'm putting it back together this evening, with a new securing ring, but would I need a new spider as well...?
Standard clutch with 4 plates and 10 springs (5 strenghtened springs and 5 Vespa clutch springs).
Ran this set up for over a year and despite being fairly stiff on the hands, it hasn't given me any problems before...

Check the grooves on the spider but the additional pressure from the springs will transfer to the clip and sometimes they pop off, fit a new clip and make sure it's seated correctly.

the big circlip from scootrs is superb its thicker across the diameter and has a very small gap on the ends when fitted

I always make sure the ends of the clip are in the spider and not a gap
You must have one very strong arm
