bitsa front hub (Italian hub - could be gp, li or sx and Spanish back plate)

built it with decent plastic speedo drive set - wouldn`t mesh probably - so stripped it - had a few goes at it

I had a cheap £9.50 metal dive set kicking about so thought I`d give it a go.

I put the ring in hot water and tapped it onto the hub flush, bolted the hub together and put the drive in - meshed okay but sounded a bit rough. Stripped it and thickened both parts with grinding paste reassembled it and spun it back and forward until it was running like velvet.

Stripped it again thoroughly cleaned it up and reassembled with liquid Vaseline and its working a treat - meshing lovely.

Proof will be in the riding but I did the same on my ScootRS disc hub on GP and its done several thousand miles.

So they can be done - maybe a bit of luck but odds were against me on this one as it was a mismatch
