Just recently I have noticed a rapid drop in revs when starting to ascend an incline in the road. The problem seems to be intermittent. I am having to drop back down through the gears to at least second. It sounds as if the engine is being starved of fuel. For info I have a 62 Series 3 with 186 Mugello fitted and it pulls fine on the level. I've not had it too long and not done too many miles and no previous experience of Lambrettas (only Vespas). Not sure if it is something I am doing as I say it does not happen all of the time and it does not have to be to bad an incline either. Has anybody any ideas??? Hopefully it is the way I am riding and not something amiss with the scooter.

Cheers,
Paul

If it's a large (PHBH type) carb', it may well be the angle it sits at and the problem is accentuated when going downhill, therefore allowing the level of fuel in the float chamber to be at too great an angle for it to feed properly.
