mates looking at buying one of the new af clutches,the cheaper version @ £220,are they a straight swap,any fitting issues special tools needed,i.e clutch compressor,whats the clutch action at the lever like etc,cheers.

One of the few things I've ever purchased for a Lambretta that actually fits and works as it should. No special tools required other than the holder which is supplied. Tell your mate to buy one he'll not be disappointed.

cheers lads,will advise him to go ahead with purchase,have used af many times over the years,and they always have been spot on with service and advice and price,shame they didnt sort out a online shop years ago,they would have cleaned up.

I had to clean up the turrets on mine as the plates and steels were snagging, once cleaned up and everything smooth no problems at all, half an hours work if that. Mate bought the dearer version and that was effectively plug and play

    Makes a refreshing change.

    They also do softer Red race plates now. No more expensive than normal plates.

    Got one on my super monza the race version, and so far it's holding up, and a version 1 five speed ok so far

    never had any problems with my af clutch you may have to clean up your windows on the drive sprocket thou the casting is a bit rough a good bit of kit :)
