An rb20 kit came for free to my hands with a jl supertourer. Not a friend of revy engines so, what could I do with this kit to trasform it to a more tourer kit. Any Ideas?

Either way, it will be revvy... such is the nature of that kit and that pipe (NB: In terms of people that don't like revvy road motors... before you all start shouting at me!).

I'm no expert but I wouldn't a longer rodded crank (110 or 115) allow you to play with base packers and recessing the head to tame the port timings a bit?

I think the RB20 uses a 116 rod as standard so I'm not sure there's much scope for adjustment.

if you fancy giving it a go the pipe choice will dictate its nature ,a build using a 62 118 crank 212cc and build the top end with appropriate packers it will provide you with a huge helping hand, cubes = grunt and if you combine it with 1 of the rb touring pipes youll have a bottom end power delivery that matches or often betters that of a clubman power output is very good too, actually is better than a rb225 approx 24bhp 21tq frell built motors

If it's a standard RB 20 then an NK road pipe will give you what you want. I had one briefly and it pretty much killed the power band but was a lot more tourqey and more akin to a touring set up
