Filter or no Filter that is the question.

I have been running open mouth for several years and this year about 2000 miles on my RT225. The no filter sorted my flooding issue (when at lights and fueling up) previously on an MB 210 iron barrel kit and this year had the RT kit dynoed with no filter.

Having read the Avanti kit seizure and possibly no filter I ask your opinion and advise on a filter or no filter. Would hate to ruin my RT kit. Does a filter affect power?

Thanks in advance.

I've just started using this, it's a great safe compromise and very cheap and I don't think will effect your performance. Previously I used a breath sweet...

Thanks Timbo. I have a Series 2 so clearance is no problem and I previously run a breath sweet. I can answer my own question and say a filter is less risk to barrel wear and damage than without? But apart from some large debris will the barrel suffer prematurely.
