I have got a CamLam Power Jet and am tempted to put it on my Dellorto 30mm, Mugello 198, JL3 set up - any thoughts? Any good? Thanks

Adjustable power jet is good but it will mainly only clean up lower down splutter out of the power as the idea is to replace main jet with a smaller one which will help clean up splutter when out of the power and then when you are over half throttle the power jet kicks in to supplement the lower main jet.
Best set up on a dyno in my opinion.

Yes ive got one on my imola. I really like it and the peace of mind it gives me with the extra fuel going in at full throttle. I havent even noticed excessive consumption of fuel.

Went ahead and fitted it this morning. Couldn't believe how long it took - 20 minutes max! And the difference! Went for a little spin around the block and oh my days! It has really made a huge difference, the rev range is as smooth as all the way through, no splutter etc. No four stroking when I come of the throttle. Really, really nice ride. I haven't really opened her up as I am running a new engine rebuild so in another 400 miles I'll be off to the dyne to set her up properly. Very happy indeed!

122 main but was a bit big - now 115

Gone down to a 110 as the 115 was a bit boggy later even with the power jet nearly closed. decided to go down to the 110 so that the power jet can be open about a third of a turn

Don't go down too far! Stick the 115 back in if you had a 122 in first time round. Get advice from where you bought it from and get it set up by a pro!
The length of the power jet in the venturi makes a huge difference. it should be sticking through half way down into the venturi. If its further down it will come in too early and cause splutter etc. You can cut the tube carefully to adjust height or space it away. Also if you have a filter it will effect it more.
Get it set up properly for best results and safety
If its a cam lamb power jet it should be open about 2/3 rd's to 3/4 of a turn to compensate for about 8 main jet sizes. If you cant get results spend £150 with a decent dyno operator as they can physically see when the power jet starts delivering fuel.

I spoke to Cam Lam this morning - they recommend a 100 and open the Jet half a turn if that doesn't do it then he reckons I will will be fine to go to a 98. The 122 was way too big in the first place pre-powerjet, I only have another 400 miles and I will be calling the dyno man I'm not going to be opening her up until then anyway, I'll be happy just running it in!
