Had a seizure on the motorway. Cleaned up barrell and left with these dents. Is it goosed and if so can it be replated cheers Graeme ]

That's a good example of why I don't use plated barrels!

You should be able to get that repaired/re-plated, talk to Ron, it might be ok to run.

I'm more interested in how you managed to seize it, what were the circumstances?

Haven't found anything yet that might point to what went wrong. Only stripped of top end. Everything was tight and no signs of any air leaks at the joints. Had only filled up with petrol 6 miles before it happened.must have done over2000 miles hassle free

Check your receipt and make sure it wasn't diesel you put in, you won't be the first.

There doesn't appear to be any heat marks, which is odd for a siezure or have you polished them out ?

Yes polished them out to see if I was going to be lucky
