Hi

I remember getting my first Lambretta back in 88 a GP150 cut-down, then work and travel put all that scene on the back burner. I tried a comeback in 91 with a new SX200, that was stolen :o I went quiet for a very long time, even emigrating 7 years ago to NZ. then a work colleague suggested we import a scooter from India, good enough challenge..

Then I saw a one line advert on the internet, i asked for a photo and this is what i got back

Luckily with my new Indian friends they had to make it roadworthy for export, it wasn't real money just time with all the bureaucracy Indian style

I started the rebuild process just under a year ago even had a house move to cater my new garage requirements, the target was to make it roadworthy but nothing special as i have to keep it standard as possible for NZ regulations, which i have to do next like add indicators and front brake switch etc.

Here is what i have built, its not perfect by any standards, kicks on 2nd go and the electrics seem OK.

Got so much advise from myself asking questions on the tech forum or reading the advise here from others, Thank you everyone, just glad to get back into a great scene..

I have all the photos from all the stages from purchase to Indian repairs to what they call RTO road tests to getting here. its been a very interesting journey and i have never really and truly valued what patience is so much.

Its always good to see people getting back into scooters.
Just out of interest can you not get away with bar end indicators in NZ.
