Im trying to repair an Li dip/light and horn switch for a friend and have been given a bag of bits which includes the pcb a small spring and what looks like a small ball bearing.
What i need to know is where these go and if possible has anyone a picture of the inside of a working switch
Thanks

The spring goes inside the plastic rocker first with the ball on top .

I take it you mean the lights on and off rocker switch as that is whats not working

f@@k. You're brave. I remember many years ago me and Marty trying to fix my LI light switch. Bloody nightmare. I've lost count how many I've gone through. Even the "top quality" ones.

When on/ off rocker is in the centre the lights are off, left and right positions power the pilot and rear and give the dip n high power.

I presume we are talking series 3 LI.
The top edge 3 positon switch is as described. The lower rocker is a 2 way switch. I think both have spring loaded balls that help hold the switch in the desired position.
I think you will finf the button is for the horn. Not cutout. That should be on the rear of the headset like your switch on a GP. Clean the brass posts with some emrey as they get pitted and burnt. Put the balls in inside a clear plastic bag. Saves hunting for the bleeders on the floor of the shed

The dip/ main and the horn button all work ok, its just the light switch thats not working, but at least ive now got some idea where the spring and ball go
