13l tank and strap issues

So I got a 13l tank off eBay which the previous owner had already had painted and it came with long tank straps, ca 76-78 cm depending on how you measure.
These straps seem too short, it's impossible to fit the tank and I've tried also without rubbers inserted with no difference.
Question is, do longer (say 85cm) straps exist? Or are there alternative solutions available such as very long "jubilee clips"?

A longer bolt (or threaded rod) may help

This is without the buffers and the strap merely wrapping the tank, not going under the bottom support. Much more is missing if I fit it correctly.... :O

Irritating. So with other words the standard longer straps are too short for a 13l tank?
And no other ones are available as far as I can see.
Now as it isn't really visible anyway, does anyone know the name of the kind of long stainless jubilee straps that are used to for ventilation shafts etc? And where to get some?

I'd say he's better off putting the toolbox in first...

Mate had similar design to that and couldn't get both in no matter how he tried it. Hope yours isn't the same mate.

I sure hope not :O
10m of jubilee strap seems a bit too much, any ideas on where to get just the length required, preferably stainless?

Ok, with quite some severe violence I finally managed to squeeze in both tank and toolbox starting with the toolbox yesterday.
I now need some way of securing the b!$£"£"£d of tank - do longer straps than 78cm exist at all? Besides welding someone else must have fitted a 13l tank and how was that done?
