I think I read somewhere that the T5's indicators flashed alternately front/rear so that only one lamp was on at a time. That was supposed to limit the current drain and stop the headlights dimming? I did have a T5 but when the indicators developed a fault I changed the flasher unit and the new one definitely flashed front/rear at the same time and I hadn't noticed what the original one did before it failed :? The reason I mention it is if true, that might explain how front and rear could operate differently.

Could be a regulator fault maybe??
Try 4 12v 10w bulbs see if that helps

Do a continuity test on the red feed wire, buzzer end will do and see if it has gone to ground.
Exactly the same fault on a mates, and thats what it was.

Worth a look.
