Thought it might be bad earths redone them, checked ign switch, light switch,loom brown,brake light switch,(loom brown goes via that),tried 3 new regulators, in the end i wired a spare light bulb holder direct to reg box (3) with seperate earth, still the the same, light was flickering,must be the stator plate unless some one can point me in another direction.

It's quite possible that you have a bad earth or other connection on the stator, check the stator earth wire with a resistance meter, should read close to zero ohms.....I take it you mean that they flicker with the engine revving up, not just at tickover? They will always flicker at low revs unless running a DC system with a battery.

flickering wilst riding and when reving at standstill, will check earth again on stator but going to try new stator to see what that does.

Flywheel remagnetising??
