Dodgy clutch

Hi there
My clutch is playing up, and I wondered if anyone has any thoughts

I have got a standard 4 plate clutch in a TS1 225 motor, everything has been fine until I went for a ride the other week. I was changing down for a roundabout and the clutch lever didn't want to depress all the way...it felt as though something was obstructing. At the same time, the clutch wasn't depressing completely, and I stalled the bike.

I put this down to a stretched cable and managed to limp home. I changed the inner cable, and took the casing off to have a look...all looked ok so I put it back together.
I rode to work today and all felt fine for about 15 miles...then it felt the same again, as if the cable had stretched. I stopped and adjusted the cable to remove any slack, but it just doesn't feel right, the lever isn't depressing smoothly, and the clutch feels rough....could it be the springs, plates or both?

Any advice gratefully received
Thanks

Clutch centre nut undone? Spider legs ridged? Bottom steel dropping below the spider?

Has the top (lever) ferrule on the outer jumped out of position somehow?

Thanks for suggestions
mcbrid, outer cable seems ok/seated

wack63...I think that is worth checking out...I will strip clutch at the w/e....I presume the remedy is a new spider

Cheers

Managed to sort it

The springs had had their day...and coupled with no circlip on bottom of clutch arm shaft (my fault!) the bronze bush hadn't seated properly

New springs, circlip & clutch plates..........nice and smooth now

Cheers
